Our Story
There's a good chance you've trusted our water without knowing our name. For more than 30 years, our American-made filter systems have stood on kitchen counters, traveled to mission fields, and shipped into disaster zones — almost always with someone else's name on the box. The work was always ours. Now the name is too. Clearbrook.
Behind the Brand
We've Been Here All Along
Clearbrook has been the manufacturer behind some of the most recognized gravity-fed water filters on the market — including the filter sold under the Black Berkey trade name (known as the BB9). We made the filter. The brand on the box was someone else's.
We no longer supply that trade name, though we still manufacture for select industry partners. For the first time, we're selling directly to you — under our own name.

Our Misson
Why We Do This.
American tap water isn't what it used to be. Lead from aging pipes. PFAS from industrial runoff. Pharmaceutical residues, pesticides, microplastics, and disinfection byproducts that older filtration systems were never designed to handle.

Every Clearbrook filter is designed, formulated, and assembled in our Mobile, Alabama facility. American hands, American craftsmanship, American accountability — every step, every day.
What anchors that work is faith. Our purpose comes from John 7:37–38:
"If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
Living water — clean, life-giving, freely given. That image is the heart of why we make filters. For decades, we've watched the American water story change. We've seen contaminants emerge that didn't exist when we started, families lose trust in their own taps, and mission teams reach communities the rest of the world has forgotten. We've been there, quietly, all along. Now is the moment to bring everything we've learned — and everything we've built — to the fore.

A Message From Our Leadership
Twenty years ago, I started at Clearbrook on the shop floor, building filters by hand. That's where I learned what good work looks like.
The people who build these filters today aren't just employees. Many of them I've known for decades — we've watched each other's families grow, weathered the same storms, refined the same craft. That's what goes into every filter that leaves this building.
I came to this work with rough hands and a deep faith. Both shape how I lead. We make filters for families across America, for missions in the hardest places, and because clean water is a calling — one we're privileged to answer, drop by drop.
